walking on a dream / empire of the sun

apologies for the really cheesy music video, but this is a catchy song! when i first heard it, i thought it was an old 80s band. i was surprized to learn they are a new aussie band. i would describe their sound as a softer MGMT, more "easy-on-the-ears".

they are definitely in my "bands to watch out" for list. they've got at least 5 decent songs, which i think is rare to find on a album nowadays. it's catchy and makes your head bob as you work. the last track of the album is really 80s-electro though. if you hear it, you'd imagine, this guy with really tall hair, and shoulder pads singing his heart out with a cheesy come-hither face. (that's what i think of anyway)
